Dogs

Please note we cannot guarantee that a particular animal will be suitable for every adopter. In the best interest of the animal we reserve to right to refuse if the circumstances are not ideal for that animal.

If you would like to adopt an animal from the local RSPCA you will need to have a Home Visit. Please contact us on 01723 369804 and leave a message giving your name, address and telephone number clearly so that we can return your call.

Please note: Our representatives e.g. staff at the kennels have the authority to refuse any adoption when they feel that the dog is not suitable for the situation.

To adopt a Dog it costs £85 – includes vaccination, neutering and microchipping

N.B.   We do not have any association with Cliff Top Kennels.  RSPCA dogs can only be adopted through the correct procedures and are kept at Coppergate Kennels.  There are no RSPCA dogs in any other kennels.

We do have a few more dogs that are in various stages of recuperation and when they are ready we will put them up for adoption – so please be patient.

Roxie is an 8 month old tan female; she is neutered and fully vaccinated and ready to go now. She is a very friendly little thing. She is okay with other dogs but not sure about cats or young children.

Fred is a 5 year old male black and white staffie. He had his tail amputated in February but he is having trouble with it healing properly so we hope to get him a home that might help him recover. He is a very friendly chap and loves his cuddles and treats. He is usually ok with other dogs, though he is not keen on other males. We believe that he would be fine with older children.

Teacup, 10 week old terrier cross

She is a very special little puppy that came to us a couple of weeks ago.  She was purchased off the internet from a very disreputable person who took her from her mother at 4 weeks old, which means that she was not properly weaned.  She was signed over to us at the age of 6 weeks and has been hand reared since at the kennels.  She is approx. 9 weeks old now – these photos were taken at the end of April and she is growing well.  We are looking for a very special person to adopt her – if you are interested please contact us.

Tessa, 4 year old Staffie (brindle)

She is a really friendly dog with people and seems ok with other dogs, we suggest that she is the only pet in the household.

Jess, 2 year old Staffie cross (black and white)

She is also very friendly with people, but is not too keen on other dogs so will need to be the only pet in the household.

Re-homed  Charlie, 7 month old black labrador
