How to Adopt an Animal from the RSPCA

If you would like to adopt an animal from the local RSPCA you will need to have a Home Visit.

Please contact us on 01723 369804 and leave a message giving your name, address and telephone number clearly so that we can return your call.

We contact everyone who wants to adopt. Home visits are essential to ensure that all of our animals go to caring people who are aware of the responsibilities, long-term commitment and costs associated with owning a pet. If you are accepted as a potential adopter you will receive a pass that allows you to go to view the animals at the boarding kennels, cattery or small animal establishments.

To adopt an animal the costs are:

Dog - £85 – includes vaccination, neutering and microchipping
Cat - £45 – includes vaccination, neutering and microchipping
Rabbit - £15 – includes neutering and anti VHD vaccination (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease)
Guinea Pig - £10 (male guinea pigs are neutered)

All animals are checked by a vet. All cats and dogs are treated for fleas and worms.

By adopting from us you enter into an agreement that you will booster the animal on an annual basis. Cats and Dogs will also require regular worming and flea treatment.
